Job Description

Contracts Engineer sought by leading project developer pioneering the delivery of fast response assets in the UK. The successful Contract Engineer will take projects from the project development team, supporting the closure of contracts and managing them through construction and handover to operations. The portfolio includes the UK’s largest utility batteries (100mw +) and UK’s first 100, 200 and 300mw reciprocating peaking plants.

The ideal Contract Engineer will be equally comfortable closing commercial contracts as they will in driving the performance of sub-contractors and managing quality. You will have a background in thermal power generation, large scale renewables or transmission and distribution.  

Contract Engineer key requirements;

  • Proven track record delivering high value projects on time and to budget
  • Contract negotiation / delivery experience – Assertive profile
  • Preference for past involvement in large scale power projects
  • Experience supporting front end procurement / closing of commercial agreements a bonus
  • Experience seeing these agreements through to fulfilment
  • Experience working in a main contractor (preferred)
